Bio
Susanne Bifano MPS, MS.Ed, ATR-BC, LCAT is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Professional Artist at The Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital. Susanne has been working in the field of art therapy for nine years and recently joined the Child life and Creative Arts Therapy team in September 2010. She brings with her four years of experience providing art therapy to students classified with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities in the Miami Dade County Public Schools Clinical Art Therapy Department. She has extensive experience working with at risk youth and families in the Department of Juvenile Justice and Transitional Living Spaces. Her previous work in the South Bronx focused on family art therapy and community development at UNITAS Therapeutic community where she continues to incorporate systems theory and community approaches in her current position.
As the Art Therapist at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, Susanne provides bedside and group art therapy practices to inpatient units and in the Zone. Susanne is an adjunct faculty instructor at the College of New Rochelle in the Art Therapy masters program. She currently exhibits work in New York and Miami.
