Bio
Sonia Lugo is the child life specialist for Pediatric Associates which serves both the general pediatric clinic as well as specialty clinics. Sonia uses her knowledge of child development and family systems to prepare and support children and familes through procedures as well as provide appropriate activities for families in order to alleviate the stress associated with clinic visits.   Sonia is also the on-site coordinator for Reach Out and Read at Mount Sinai Medical Center, an organization that promotes early literacy by making books a routine part of pediatric care, so that children grow up with books and a love of reading.
