Bio
Dawn Huber, BA, is a child life specialist at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. She is responsible for providing therapeutic play sessions, procedural preparation and emotional support to the children and families on the 24-bed inpatient unit. Additionally, Dawn collaboratively supervises the GI child life assistant, weekend child life assistant and volunteers.
Dawn also coordinates the Meet Me at Mount Sinai pre-operative program with a nurse practitioner and social worker. The program prepares children and families for surgery and hospital admissions through the use of power point, medical play, and hospital tours.
